Cookie policy
Last updated: October 27, 2026
In short: Cookies essential for the site to work, plus Google Analytics only if you accept it. No advertising tracking.
A cookie is a small file saved by your browser. Some preferences are also kept in the browser's local storage; we treat them the same way.
The cookies we use
Sign-in session (essential)
Supabase sb-… cookies keep your owo account session open while you browse. Without them, you cannot stay signed in. They are erased when you sign out or when they expire.
Your cookie choice (essential)
The owo-cookies value, kept in your browser's local storage: remembers that you accepted cookies on the home page welcome screen, so we don't ask again.
Visit statistics (optional, with your consent)
If you accept, we turn on Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google LLC) to count visits and understand which pages are useful. Until you accept, nothing is measured.
- Cookies:
_gaand_ga_<id>, which tell visitors apart pseudonymously. They expire after 2 years at most. - What is measured: pages viewed, visit length, referrer (e.g. a search engine), device and browser type, and approximate location (country, city). Google does not keep the full IP address.
- What is not sent: your name, your email and your content.
- Advertising signals off: no data is used for advertising or ad personalization.
- Retention: detailed data is kept for 14 months in Google Analytics.
- Where: data is processed by Google, notably in the United States.
What we don't use
No advertising cookies, no social network pixels, no cross-site tracking.
Your control
Visit statistics are off by default and refusing is as easy as accepting. On the home page, the welcome screen lets you choose between accepting cookies and watching without them; the film and sound are the same either way. To withdraw your consent, clear the owo.quebec site data in your browser settings: Google Analytics is turned off again.
You can also erase cookies in your browser settings, but you will then be signed out. For everything else, see our privacy policy.
